- Peeling: Manual peeling can quickly remove the banana peel, peeling cleanly without damaging the flesh, and is suitable for bananas of various sizes and shapes.
- Slicing: Put the peeled bananas into the banana slicer and cut them into slices of a certain thickness. The thickness of the slices can be adjusted according to customer needs, generally between 2-5mm. The uniformity and smoothness of the slices have an important impact on the subsequent drying and grinding processes.
- Color protection: In order to prevent the banana slices from oxidizing and discoloring during processing, color protection treatment is required. Usually, a color protection agent is soaked or sprayed to form a protective film on the surface of the banana slices to maintain its color and flavor.
- Drying: Put the banana slices after color protection into a mesh belt dryer or other types of drying equipment for drying. The drying temperature is generally controlled between 60-80℃, and the drying time depends on the thickness and moisture content of the banana slices, usually 3-6 hours. Air cooling or water cooling is used during the grinding process to prevent the damage to the banana powder components during the grinding process and ensure the nutritional value and quality of the banana powder.
